Air Arabia adds new RAK office, city check-in

RAS AL KHAIMAH, May 14, 2015

Air Arabia, the largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has strengthened its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with the opening of a new sale office and city terminal check-in to serve customers in the emirate.

The facility on Nakheel Road was officially opened by Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Aviation.

Air Arabia opened a hub at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014 following the signing of a strategic partnership between the airline and the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Aviation. The airline completed its first year of operations from Ras Al Khaimah and currently serves 10 destinations directly from the Northern Emirate. This is Air Arabia’s fourth sales office in Ras Al Khaimah, including its facility at the airport.

Sheikh Salem said: “We congratulate Air Arabia for the new sales office that will now make it more accessible to customers living in the Northern Emirates to book and fly Air Arabia. This step is a reflection of the long-term partnership we have and its role in developing the aviation industry in the emirate.”

Adel A Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said: “We are glad to celebrate the first anniversary of the Air Arabia operations from Ras Al Khaimah with a new additional sales office and City Terminal Check-in. This step is another vote of confidence in the long-term potential of Ras Al Khaimah as an aviation and tourism centre.”

Air Arabia’s Ras Al Khaimah sales office and city terminal check-in is located behind the Lulu Hypermarket on Nakheel Road and will be open daily from 09am to 10pm, with sales agents able to assist customers with booking flights and accessing the latest deals across the Air Arabia global network.

Customers can also use the facility to simply drop off their bags and collect their boarding pass before journeying to either RAK International Airport or Sharjah International Airport. The facility is equipped to accept baggage from 24 to three hours before departure, which is then transported straight to the airport. A shuttle bus to the airport is also available for added passenger convenience.  - TradeArabia News Service
