A replica of the Burj Al Arab will be displayed at Dubai's Mini World Park

Dubai to restart work on Mini World Park

DUBAI, April 6, 2015

Development of a world park in Dubai, UAE, showcasing replicas of famous monuments from all over the world, will commence once the Dubai Municipality finalises a location, a report said.

The ‘Mini World Park’ project, which was earlier put on hold, will restart after the municipality 'determines a location', said a report in the Emirates 24|7 citing a senior government official.

A first-of-its-kind, the park will display monuments such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, New York's Empire State Building, the Canton Tower in China, and Toronto's CN Tower as well as historical landmarks, such as Abu Simbel Temple and Pyramids in Egypt, Algeria's ancient Roman ruins at Timgad, and The Great Wall of China, among others, the report said.

The municipality is also planning to complete other projects such as Aladdin City, inspired by the tales of Aladdin and Sindbad, and a mixed-used beachfront lifestyle development in Al Mamzar ahead of Dubai hosting the Expo 2020 event, it said.
