Oman Air plane suffers tyre burst in Delhi
NEW DELHI, March 12, 2015
An Oman Air flight from Muscat to Delhi experienced two burst tyres following its arrival at the airport in India's capital this morning.
The incident occurred while the aircraft, a Boeing 737, was taxiing soon after it landed at the airport, said an airline statement.
The Oman Air flight WY A40-BV 73L had 143 passengers and six crew onboard. No injuries have been reported in the incident and all passengers were disembarked smoothly and transferred by bus to the airport terminal, it said.
The return Delhi-Muscat flight had been delayed by seven hours as a consequence of the incident.
It said spare parts and a replacement crew were travelling to Delhi to bring the aircraft back to base as swiftly as possible. - TradeArabia News Service
