Jazeera Airways... passengers numbers up.

Jazeera reports 7pc increase in passenger traffic

KUWAIT, January 21, 2015

Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways has shown a 7 per cent increase in passenger numbers in November 2014, compared to the same period in 2013, and an on-time performance of 95 per cent.

The increase in passengers in 2014 were seen on routes serving Istanbul (Turkey), Beirut (Lebanon) and Amman (Jordan). More particularly, the influx of passengers came during a low-season month when families returned from summer holidays into the school season.

Passengers also increased on routes serving Egypt, going up by 10 per cent in November last year on the five routes served by the airline, compared to six cities served in the same period in 2013.

The decrease in number of cities served came after the Assiut International Airport was momentarily closed for renovations.

On routes serving the Gulf cities of Dubai (UAE), Bahrain, Jeddah and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Jazeera saw a 9 per cent increase in passengers compared to November 2013. - TradeArabia News Service
