Tahhan...early bookings to ensure occupancy rate boom

Millennium Abu Dhabi sees tourism boom in 2015

ABU DHABI, December 22, 2014

Millennium Corniche Abu Dhabi, a luxury hotel in the UAE capital, is expecting a strong performance in business in 2015, backed by the 76 per cent occupancy rate it has witnessed since the beginning of 2014.

The early bookings from Europe, mainly Britain and Germany, will see the occupancy rate boom till the first half of 2015, adding that the GCC is also a key market for Millennium, said George Tahhan, director of sales and marketing.

He also expected a surge in the number of tourists from the Arab countries to Abu Dhabi given the emirate’s attractive places, including cultural and sport sites such as Ferrari, Yas Waterworld, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Sheikh Zayed Museum, where the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to most of the attraction areas as well as shopping malls.

A Chinese festival hosted by Abu Dhabi this year contributed to putting the emirate high on the global tourism map, showcasing that Abu Dhabi has a lot to offer the foreign tourists and visitors, Tahhan said.

The hotel is keen to take part in all relevant local and global events as well as promotional tours organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhab), Tahhan stated, noting that the hotel will attend the Berlin Tourism Bourse in March 2015. – TradeArabia News Service
