ART Rotana Amwaj Islands, the new luxury hotel soon to open in the heart of Amwaj, Bahrain, has welcomed on board Joe Batshoun as its new general manager.

Batshoun has been heading the pre-opening team of ART Rotana and is responsible for the overall running and efficient operation of the art-inspired property, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

A veteran in the hospitality industry with over 25 years of experience working in three different continents, Batshoun brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and has been recognised multiple times throughout his career with financial and leadership excellence awards.

He has successfully opened Yas Island Rotana & Centro Yas Island Abu Dhabi in 2009 and was instrumental in the operation of these two properties.

Prior to joining the Rotana Group, he was area general manager with Marriott overseeing three properties.
