MANAMA, November 5, 2014

Bahrain’s Culture Ministry is taking part in the 35th annual World Travel Market (WTM) in London.

The trade show, which opened on November 3, comes to a close tomorrow, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

More than 5,000 exhibitors and exhibiting partners from more than 180 countries are taking part.

The kingdom's delegation to the WTM is led by assistant under-secretary for tourism Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa.

He highlighted the importance of the event in promoting tourism in Bahrain and asserted the ministry's keenness to take part in such gatherings to consolidate the kingdom as a world tourism destination.

Transactions exceeding £2 billion (BD1.2 billion/$3.1 billion) were sealed at the exhibition.
