Gulf operators discuss religious tourism in Dubai

DUBAI, October 23, 2014

International corporate buyers and travel agencies from across the Gulf region are meeting in Dubai with suppliers to strengthen relations and open new opportunities in tourism for religious goals with potential tourists, particularly local Emirati clients.

The two-day 16th International Forum for Tourism and Umrah will conclude today (October 23) at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel.

The event features talks and presentations from leading industry experts who will discuss key issues in tourism for religious goals while also sharing their insights on the latest travel industry trends like entertainment, education, sports and alternative tourism.

Anjum Hotel Makkah, the flagship hotel of the Saudi Arabia-based Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment Company with 1,743 rooms and suites, took part in the forum, where it shared experiences and interacted with other industry players while also through the spotlight on its services and products.

Ahmad Sabry, general manager, Anjum Hotel Makkah, shared that they will be focused on promoting the hotel during their participation at the conference as part of the move to increase more awareness of the hotel’s key features - including its amenities and offered services - to the local UAE market.

The hotel also has a ‘Manasek Desk’ that assists guests and helps enhance their religious experience.

It also features a ‘Kid’s World’ section that caters to children aged three to seven. The hotel is equipped with 26 elevators that have been installed to address the heavy traffic during prayer times.

“Our main goal is to attract different target audiences in the UAE. During the forum, we will fully emphasise on our hotel’s five-star services as we know that the Emirati tourist as well as others deserves world-class services and amenities. At Anjum, we not only aim to satisfy our guests but also look towards exceeding their expectations, which leaves them with a truly unforgettable experience,” added Sabry. - TradeArabia News Service
