What’s next?.....addressing the most promising emerging ideas

Abu Dhabi conference to focus on future of innovation

ABU DHABI, October 22, 2014

The Atlantic, an American magazine, and Boeing, an international aircraft manufacturer, will convene a global summit to forecast the future of innovation in Abu Dhabi, UAE, next month.

Held under the theme “What’s next? Navigating global challenges with the innovation generation,” the summit will take place on November 5 at the Yas Viceroy.

The event will gather leaders from international businesses, universities and students, governments, and research institutions to explore how big ideas are revolutionising global industries.

The conference aims to address the most promising emerging ideas and the leadership behind them—from next-generation aerospace engineering and transportation solutions, to education and entrepreneurship, developments in cybersecurity, renewable energy, and travel.

Business and thought leaders will convene for a day to discuss best practices in international innovation, and to explore the ideas and techniques that are advancing industries. University students will participate in the day’s events, and be invited to attend student-only workshops with these experts in various fields.

Organisations such as Facebook, DataWind, NYU Abu Dhabi, The government of the Republic of Macedonia and Wamda, among others, will be a part of the programme.

The “What’s Next?” forum is funded by The Boeing Company. “The catalyst for global business is innovation,” said Shephard Hill, president of Boeing International. “The global innovation summit will bring together thought leaders from the UAE and around the world to share information and ideas that can accelerate innovation development and inspire future generations.” – TradeArabia News Service
