Key talks ... BAC officials receive the KLM delegation.

Bahrain airport, KLM aim to boost ties

MANAMA, September 29, 2014

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines officials recently discussed efforts to strengthen ties and future collaboration during a meeting at BAC’s headquarters in Manama, Bahrain.

BAC is the authority responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services.

Representatives from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines were received by BAC’s chief commercial officer Mohamed Khalil and his team.

The two parties vouched their joint commitment in continuing to promote Bahrain International Airport (BIA) and the airline’s success.

“KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has been a key partner and holds a long-standing relationship with the airport and the Kingdom of Bahrain that goes back over 40 years,” said Khalil.

“BIA’s successes are built on such strong partnerships, and I would like to take this opportunity to confirm our support and cooperation for the airline community at the airport as we push ahead with our plans to further enhance passenger’s experience through our friendly and efficient airport.”

Tjalling Smit, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines senior vice president - Middle East, Arabian Gulf and India, said: “KLM enjoys a long and successful relation with Bahrain.  Our customers’ appreciation for BIA is one of the highest in the region. We are delighted to work together with BAC in further shaping the customer experience as the airport expands."  – TradeArabia News Service
