Around the World in 81 Days

London, August 6, 2014

A leading travel company in the UK has introduced an ‘81-day voyage’ around the world that will set sail in the coming year.

Inspired by the journey in the classic adventure novel ‘Around the World in 80 Days’, the cruise offers an opportunity to travel the world in the comfort of some of the best cruise liners, www.cruise.co.uk said.

The prices start at £8499 ($14338.54) for an inside stateroom and rise to £12499 ($21086.88) for a balcony.

Setting sail on March 22, 2015, the itinerary includes stays in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Hong Kong and Venice.

Between destinations cruisers can enjoy leisurely stints on the four cruise ships that include:

  • 17 nights cruising Europe on the ‘P&O Oceana’
  • 31 nights taking in the Eastern delights of Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan on ‘Holland America’s Volendam liner’
  • 8 nights on ‘Carnival Legend’ taking in the spectacular glaciers of Alaska
  • 7 nights on ‘Cunard’s Queen Mary 2’ making the transatlantic crossing from New York back to Southampton.

Cruisers on the 2015 expedition will find their adventure punctuated with more highlights, including a Whistler Mountains and Wildlife Tour in Vancouver, potential whale-spotting at Alaska’s pristinely beautiful Inside Passage and a stop at the stunning volcanic island of Jeju in Korea, it said.

Dylan David, Tailor Made product manager at www.cruise.co.uk, said: “Travelling by train, plane, cruise and car, this voyage offers a unique chance to visit the four corners of the world in a very different way. With hotel stays in New York, Hong Kong, Venice coupled with scenic trains and four of the biggest cruise lines out there, this is a brilliant alternative to a traditional world cruise.” – TradeArabia News Service
