Riyadh, May 5, 2014

Set to open in late 2014, Nobu Hotel Riyadh, a member of Leading Hotels of the World and the Middle East's first Nobu property, has appointed Mark Carnazzola as general manager.

Carnazzola will oversee the operation working with his team to implement the highest service standards and uphold Nobu experience expectations, a statement said.

"We are thrilled to announce Mark Carnazzola as general manager of the Nobu Hotel Riyadh," said Trevor Horwell, chief executive of Nobu Hospitality. "His impressive depth of experience on an international scale encompasses working with luxury hotel brands. Mark is perfectly suited in the role of General Manager of the Middle East's first Nobu Hotel given his keen sense of service which our Nobu guests are accustomed to receiving."

Carnazzola has nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality with Mandarin Oriental, the Maybourne Group, (the Claridge's Hotel, The Berkeley Hotel, The Connaught Hotel), and Jumeirah Hotels.

"Nobu Hospitality is proud to have Mark Carnazzola leading the effort to deliver exemplary guest experiences at the Nobu Hotel Riyadh," said Struan McKenzie, chief operating officer Nobu Hospitality.

"We continuously strive to raise the bar of luxury at Nobu with strategic customer service techniques and understanding of guest expectations, and we couldn't be more pleased to have Mark at the forefront of our newest hotel."
