Doha is set to be the inaugural host city for a luxury travel specific exhibition and conference next year.

The Middle East Luxury Travel Show (MELTS) will be held from February 15 to 18 at Doha’s Katara Hall in the Katara Cultural Village and is organised by TTG Mena.

It will feature Middle Eastern destinations, hospitality brands, tour operators and airlines to promote their offerings to luxury outbound tour operators, business travel agencies, conference and event organisers, and incentive, wedding and meeting planners from around the world.

Alexandra North, general manager – Events and Communications, said: “We are thrilled to bring the region’s first luxury travel focused business platform to the burgeoning Doha.

"Both selectively invited exhibitors and hosted buyers have conveyed their deep interest in attending the exhibition for its business development opportunities, as well as using it as an opportunity to discover the luxury travel attractions and experiences that Doha has to offer”.

MELTS was established with the objective of providing opportunities to explore and discover the latest trends and offerings for high end travel experiences across the Middle East, as well as increase international visitors to the region, he said.

The show will include an enrichment conference, three days of pre-arranged meetings, three evenings of networking in some of the finest and most inspirational venues in Qatar, a presentation programme and pre-show familiarisation trips. - TradeArabia News Service
