Aviation Week to host MRO show in Dubai

Dubai, January 21, 2014

F&E Aerospace and Penton’s Aviation Week has partnered to bring a unified maintenance, repaid and overhaul (MRO) tradeshow in Dubai next month.

The MRO Middle East and Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) will take place on February 5 and 6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

MRO Middle East, under the theme ‘Adapting to Changing Requirements to Ensure a More Profitable Future,’ is a leading aviation maintenance exhibition and conference in the region serving as a hub for business growth, knowledge transfer, and technology advancement.

It will connect innovative suppliers with purchasers and see the return of industry leading companies such as Boeing, Lufthansa Technik, JorAMco, Saudia, and Turkish Technic.

The shows witnessed a 34 per cent growth in attendees in their last edition, with visitors from 70 countries.

The Aviation Week is launching new features to the 2014 show including interactive workshops, power roundtables and an expanded exhibition hall.

Graham Smith, head of Business Development, Regional Aircraft, BAE Systems, said: “MRO Middle East is a highly visible and well attended event providing us with an ideal platform to reach a wider audience. With the expected growth in the regions’ airlines any supply chain efficiencies that reduce the time to market and improve despatch reliability are advantageous to them, both in terms of cost and operations.”

“The forum will offer practical advice, support and solutions, focusing on a supply chain that delivers value and meets present challenges as well as future expansion. We have a number of customers throughout the Middle East and have been approached by airlines with large fleets looking for independent consultancy,” he said.

Lydia Janow, director, Events and Tradeshows for Aviation Week, said: “The conference will once again bring industry leaders together to discuss developments in all aspects of MRO. It will include aerospace in the MENA region and Middle East MRO market – forecasting growth in the region, developing technology, and pushing the MRO industry forward.” - TradeArabia News Service
