POY Gulf announces 2021 award winners

DUBAI, June 2, 2021

Product of the Year Gulf, the exclusive consumer-voted award for product innovation, has announced the long-awaited winners for 2021 Product of the Year (POY) Awards. 
 
Through a regional study, conducted by Nielsen, a world-wide leader in consumer research, thousands of shoppers, across the Gulf region, selected the most-innovative products to receive the POY recognition as the most groundbreaking in their categories.
 
The winners of the 2021 Product of the Year Award include:
- Personal Care: Oral-B Vitality 100, Savannah Glow, Guardex Anti-Bacterial Range.
- Medicated Skin Care: Bepanthen Cream.
- Food & Beverage: Sadia Easy & Juicy Chicken, Panzani Selezione Di Chef, Shehrazade
Basmati Rice, Original No Added Sugar juice.
- Snacking: Raw Bites Protein Puffs & Hershey’s Ice Cream inspired chocolate bars.
- Baby Care: Pampers Night.
- Fabric Care: Tide Pods.
- Services: Emirates NBD Visa Flexi Credit Card.
For the second year in a row, POY Gulf 2021 winners were celebrated in a virtual show given the continued travel restrictions with a prolonged presence of the Covid-19 pandemic POY looks forward to recognising next year’s winners through a massive celebration marking the 10-Year anniversary of POY Gulf.
 
With more than 30 years’ experience and a wide presence within 45 countries. POY has been championing newly launched products, which resonate best with consumers through their function, offerings, or design, by awarding them its highly-coveted red seal.
 
POY remains consumers’ reliable guide for product selection. This fact has been verified once again through Nielsen’s 2021 study where 91% of surveyed consumers noted that they trust products bearing the POY label. Moreover, according to retail audit across various categories, earning the POY logo has proved to induce new product trial and drive sales upward.
 
Amid Covid-19 and its corresponding lockdowns, product innovation continued to accelerate.
 
In this regard, CPG and service companies explored new methods to develop their products.
