BenQ launches android-based classroom projector

BenQ, a global DLP projector brand, has unveiled its latest smart projectors for classrooms, the first ever android based education projectors to feature cloud account integration, smart app capability, Internet and wireless connectivity.

EX800ST brings with it a whole new way of classroom teaching as by offering personal account control and cloud services integration via BenQ Account Management System (AMS), which allows teachers individualized access to lesson plans and educational materials in cloud storage.

Exclusive to BenQ, the AMS software lets teachers manage their materials for both online and face-to-face classes in one place. This considerably simplifies their workflow and saves precious time that they can invest more productively.

The E800ST also comes with a centralized messaging and display scheduling system, X-Sign Broadcast. The BenQ exclusive X-Sign Broadcast is the wireless system that gets essential announcements and messages across the school, floor, or even individual classrooms without disrupting class. The school administration and staff can pre-schedule messages as well as send immediate announcements if required.

The EX800ST’s user interface is optimized for education and interaction and provides intuitive content navigation in addition to the traditional projector remote control. Featuring intuitive human interface device (HID) support, EX800ST lets students and teachers navigate educational content with a mouse or keyboard, even allowing projector control and operation from a smartphone via BenQ Smart Control app.

BenQ’s smart interactive classroom projectors support wireless projection from multiple sources. This enables students to share their ideas without requiring them to plug in or unplug their devices. Wireless projection empowers students to share their ideas quickly and conveniently, making collaboration quite seamless. Making hassle-free wireless projection from mobile, PC, and laptop devices possible even when there is no Wi-Fi infrastructure, the EX800ST’s smart features help educators in transforming classrooms and building immersive learning spaces without boundaries.

With new Infographic and Video modes, EX800ST’s engaging and expansive visual quality helps accentuate the learning opportunities presented by modern educational materials that use a mixture of graphics, data, charts, motion video, and text. BenQ’s smart interactive classroom projectors allow teachers to perform instant internet searches and interactions via Firefox and TeamViewer.

These projectors are equipped with BenQ’s exclusive DMS Local and MDA systems that let schools centralize projector control via a local network. This enables the school IT administrators to manage all the projectors of a school from one central location.

Available in XGA (EX800ST) and WXGA (EW800ST) resolutions, both the new smart interactive classroom projectors are equipped with BenQ Dust Guard technology for durability. The projectors come with a Lamp Save Mode that powers up to 15,000 hours of long-lasting clarity before the lamp requires any maintenance.

With centralized LAN-based projector control and maintenance as well as over-the-air firmware updates, EX800ST can further minimize ownership costs for institutions.
