Philips unveils new air fryer collection

DUBAI, June 29, 2016

Philips has unveiled its next generation of air fryers, enabling easier preparation of food in a healthier way, without compromising on taste.

The new Philips Viva Collection Airfryer TurboStar minimizes the need for unhealthy fats and offers great tasting fried food with up to 80 per cent less fat, a statement said.

The new TurboStar builds on the original Airfryer’s Rapid air technology, which lets you cook food with little to no added oil, resulting in healthier fried, baked, grilled and roasted meals.

After selling over five million Airfryer appliances worldwide, Philips has developed this technology to further enhance the cooking experience. Mimicking the properties of a turbine to improve air flow circulation, the appliance’s new TurboStar technology swirls hot air continuously throughout the whole cooking chamber, resulting in more homogenous heat distribution and more evenly cooked food.

This constant, circulating heat ensures all food is cooked through simultaneously, without the need for turning. In addition to this, powerful direct heat from above quickly crisps the food on the outside.

There’s no need for pre-heating meaning it is ready to use immediately, the statement said. Additionally, with the QuickClean basket – which includes a removable non-stick mesh – cleaning becomes a breeze. The removable non-stick coated drawer and the food basket are also dishwasher safe for added cleaning convenience.

Vincenzo Ventricelli, market leader Philips Middle East & Turkey, said: “We understand that when juggling a busy personal and work life, it can be difficult to prepare tasty yet healthy food, at home. Philips is continuously exploring ways to make every meal an opportunity for better health. Our new Airfryer TurboStar provides a quick, easy and fuss-free way to cook food with up to 80% less fat1. Finally, the dilemma of healthy nutrition is solved: you can now create dishes which taste great, whilst still making healthy choices!”

The product is available at all leading hypermarkets and electronics retailers. The recommended retail price is BD 82 ($215) for the HD9621 Airfryer Turbostar and BD92 for the HD9623 Airfryer Turbostar. – TradeArabia News Service
