New grocery shopping app big hit in Dubai

DUBAI, May 22, 2016

More than 30,000 people use InstaShop a shopping app developed in Dubai, UAE for grocery shopping in the Emirate, and is rapidly gaining popularity as the preferred way to shop for groceries.

Launched in June 2015, InstaShop aims to deliver convenience without eating into free time, a few clicks is all that is needed to have the groceries delivered in as fast as 30 minutes depending on user location, a statement said.

John Tsioris, CEO of InstaShop said: “Time is precious and we would rather have our customers spend their time on more productive and rewarding experiences than in the narrow aisles of supermarkets. InstaShop is here to serve customers with a suite of services and solutions, and a wide range of products. We are looking at a time very soon in the future when grocery shopping is not on your to-do list.”

The friendly user-experience allows users of InstaShop to schedule deliveries, weeks and months in advance. Customers are also provided the option to pay with cash or credit card. Some other useful features of the app are the ‘re-ordering’ or ‘favourites’ options that will help minimize the time taken to place repeated orders, limit it to a few clicks only.

Tsioris added: “InstaShop is rapidly expanding its serviced areas, we are looking to serve Abu Dhabi and other regional cities very soon. We are also partnering with supermarkets who seek to reach out to their customers through our shopping gateway – more and more shops are coming onboard InstaShop.” – TradeArabia News Service
