Al Meera in big Qatar network revamp

DOHA, October 10, 2015

Qatari retailer Al Meera has announced the completion and near-term implementation of plans and projects to revamp and renovate its space across its growing network of branches in the country.

The move comes as part of the company's continuous efforts and commitment into delivering product and service excellence to its customers, stated Al Meera in a statement.

The revamp will help the retail chain to increase focus on advancing its consumer journey experience, backed by a stringent set of product and service quality control and assurance benchmarks and processes, it added.

On the renovation strategy, Dr Mohammed Nasser Al Qahtani, the deputy CEO, said: "As we continue to scale and expand our operations across Qatar, both opportunities and challenges for our business grow with remarkable pace and weight."

"We have vowed to continuously improve our customer experience and have adhered, since our establishment, to world-class standards of service delivery and excellence," he observed.

The branches in Wakra, Khalifa South, Mansoura, Bin Omran, Hazm Al Markhiya, Azghawa, Mamoura and Géant Hypermarket in Hyatt Plaza have already successfully undergone complete internal renovation, which encompasses refrigeration, shelving and flooring.

Those in line for renovation into 2016 are the branches at Shamal, Al Mirqab, Gharafat Al Rayyan, Dahl Al Hamam, Rawdat El Khail, Onaiza 2, Shahaniya, Jumailiya, Ghuwairiya and Kaaban.

Additionally, Al Meera has undertaken the façade revamp for the Hazm Al Markhiya branch, with tenders currently under process for the Shamal, Wakra, Bin Omran, Mansoura, Jumailiya, Dahl Al Hamam, Rawda El Khail, Onaiza 2, Azghawa, Mamoura, Khalifa South and Gharafat Al Rayyan branches to follow suit.

The group's massive renovation project comes on the heels of its strategic footprint expansion in Qatar, which was marked by several branch openings across residential and commercial hubs in the country,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
