A host of amusement and shopping activities at the ongoing Ramadan and Eid Exhibition at the Expo Centre Sharjah, is serving as a major family and tourist attraction during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

The exhibition, which got under way on June 25, will continue until July 18, said a statement.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, chief executive officer, Expo Centre Sharjah, said: “The Ramadan and Eid Exhibition is the most popular event of its kind in the region.

“We have had great visitor numbers until now, especially from the Arab community, and we expect the figure to go up considerably during the Eid holidays given that there is a lot more happening in the exhibition halls and outside.”
 
Apart from the regular outdoor and indoor entertainment areas, food courts, free health checkup, amusement rides and games and raffle draws, during the Eid days, there will be additional events like adventure activities, magic shows, cartoon characters and folk dances.
 
Nader Al Bahri, general manger, Al Hader Exhibitions and Conferences, the organiser of the show, said: “The support and guidance of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Expo Centre Sharjah and have played a great role in helping us deliver an impressive show. This will encourage us to present a bigger and better show next year.”

The participation of both local and foreign exhibitors have made the show the best multi-products event in the region that caters to the diverse needs of the national and expatriate population in the country, said Midfa.

“Besides shopping, there is a slew of other programmes that makes the event popular with residents and visitors alike. The fun and entertainment activities are targeted at all family members. A rich repertoire of Ramadan cuisine from the world over is another attraction,” he added.
 
The show also features cultural programmes, heritage village, games and workshops, charity corner and several other activities targeted at visitors of all ages. - TradeArabia News Service
