Salma’s Chocolates launches website and online store

MUSCAT, January 27, 2015

Oman’s premium chocolatiers Salma’s Chocolates has officially launched its new website to compliment its current on and off-line marketing efforts.

Created by Masaar Marketing Solutions, a team of young Omani web designers, the site was developed with the end-user’s experience explicitly in mind; it is easy to navigate and offers full e-commerce functionally, said a statement.

According to Aisha Al Hajri, company co-founder and director and creative force behind the brand: “We’re already active on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and were thrilled to see how popular our corporate film was on YouTube.

“The natural next step was a website where fans could find out about who we are, what our business is all about, how our chocolate is made and our unique ingredients. And what’s really special now is clients can buy online, something that will particularly appeal to our international fan base as well as those living outside Muscat.

“We’re hoping people will keep coming back to the site as we add more interesting and informative sections. It opens up a new marketing channel to help promote our products. Going forward, it’s an important part of the overall development of our brand.”

Salma Al Hajri, co-founder and chief executive officer, said: “With the launch of the new site, visitors can browse our online store and view our beautiful hand-made chocolates. Indeed, in a competitive global chocolate market which by 2016 is expected to be worth US$98.3 billion, being the new chocolate business on the block can be a daunting prospect.

“But with the wonderful loyal following we’ve developed over the past few years, we think the potential to grow here at home and overseas is exciting.” - TradeArabia News Service
