Elekta names new logistics head

Dubai, April 28, 2011

Elekta Gulf, a leading home appliance and audio visual company, has appointed Sajid Kandy as logistics manager.

Elekta COO Brian McCarthy said, “We are delighted to welcome Sajid to our team.  One of our core competencies is managing the supply chain and Sajid brings great depth and experience that will help us excel in this area.”

Kandy previously worked at Almasa, a leading IT and telecom distributer in the UAE, where he worked as a logistics manager.  Over the course of five years, Kandy accrued extensive experience in warehouse management, stock and inventory and delivery.

Kandy said “I’m looking forward to working with a progressive company like Elekta Gulf.  Together we’ll be able to bring Elekta to the next level in supply chain management which will improve customer satisfaction as well as increase profitability.”

Kandy studied at New College in Chennai, India to complete his bachelors of commerce and at Trade Wings to earn his diploma in air cargo management. – TradeArabia News Service
