BenQ wins 18 top 2010 iF Design awards

BenQ has announced that 18 products designed by its two teams, BenQ Lifestyle Design Center and Qisda Creative Design Center, were recognised with the prestigious iF Design Awards 2010.

The performance also underscores the group’s fast-emerging design strength, which has enabled the group to become a design leader in the Chinese communities worldwide and gain a cutting edge in the global market.

The winning designs have won the favour of the jury, comprised of top international designers, thanks to their combination of the elements of environmental friendliness and technological aesthetics, said a statement.

Manfred Wang, chief design officer of both centres, pointed out that iF Design Award is a guidepost award in the international industrial-design field and its judges decisively examine every entry from the angles of aesthetic idea, practicability, innovation, feasibility, and manifestation of brand value in determining the winning products.

The award-winning products of BenQ Lifestyle Design Center span the fields of consumer electronics, information-technology products, and mobile devices, including two models of LED backlight display, V2200TW and V2400Eco, featuring environment-friendly residential style and green fashion; V2400 LED monitor that’s inspired by the Chinese lacquer work ; the easy operating nScreen Touch All-in-One PC for the household; MP780 ST Short-Throw projector furnished with Point Draw smart board; and three mobile devices, Joybee GP1 mini projector, eMovie portable multimedia center, and U103 Joybook Lite featuring power saving and fast recharging.

Qisda Creative Design Center boasts 10 award-winning products, including two models of e-reader QEB -101 and QEB-102; QPC-215, an All-in-One PC with a 21” screen featuring a uniquely designed base; Smartbook QPD-501, meant for use by creative workers for mobile-Internet access; 12” touchscreen Display QTD-101, featuring instinctive touch operation for smoother graphic-drawing; photo scanner QPS-210 featuring light weight and easy operation; digital photo frame QDF-103 featuring the inspiration of Eastern paper-folding art; Digital Radio Device QIR-103; smart phone QCM-330; and high-brightness projector QPT-210 for teaching and commercial usage.
 
The 18 products will be awarded during the CeBIT Exhibition in Hannover, Germany on March 2 next year.-TradeArabia News Service
