Mohamed Atyan, 68, known as the "Father of Rebels", who said one of his sons was killed during the Egyptian uprising, stands at Tahrir Square, which had been the epicentre of the country's 2011 uprising, in Cairo on September 26. On Thursday, the groundwork for the construction of a garden was begun at the square. The sign reads: "The January revolution was against the abuse of power, and the June revolution against the exploitation of religion". Reuters/Amr Abdallah Dalsh
