Precious Master-Piece

, January 3, 2013

Book specialist Cathy Marsden holds open a book titled 'Aristotle's Compleat Master-Piece' during a media event before its sale at Lyon and Turnbull auctioneers in Edinburgh, Scotland, on January 3. The book, incorrectly attributed to Aristotle and dated from the 1760s,  goes on sale in an auction on January 16. It is an early manual for sex and pregnancy which emphasises ideas surrounding female sexuality and was banned in Britain until the 1960s. Reuters/David Moir
