Picture not so perfect

, January 2, 2013

A "Dead End" sign is seen at the mostly unused Kodak factory in Rochester, New York, on January 1. Eastman Kodak Co, which invented the hand-held camera and helped bring the world the first pictures from the moon, has filed for bankruptcy protection, capping a prolonged plunge for one of America's best-known companies. Kodak has also recently sold off $525 million worth of patents which it hopes will aid in its Chapter 11 struggles.  Reuters/Carlo Allegri
