World Gas Conference to kick off in Korea this May

MANAMA, January 17, 2022

The World Gas Conference (WGC2022) is set to kick off on May 23 in Daegu, Korea drawing thousands of industrial and political leaders, gas executives and specialists from across the globe.
 
It is held every three years in the country holding the Presidency of the International Gas Union (IGU).
 
This year's event is being hosted by the Korea Gas Union and supported by the Korean Government, host partner Kogas, Daegu Metropolitan City and the National Organising Committee (NOC) and 
TradeArabia.com, the Middle East’s premium trade portal, as its media partner.
 
The WG2022, conducted by the International Gas Union (IGU) since 1931, is the world's largest and most important global gas and energy industry event. 
 
It will be an immersive week of gas industry contents and innovation discussing the event's core theme Sustainable Future - Powered by Gas with 500+ speakers, 350+ exhibitors and 12,000+ global attendees from over 90 countries.
 
The WGC2022 programme will consist of 95 sessions covering a wide range of strategic, commercial and technical topics facing the gas industry. Currently, over 50 distinguished gas and energy industry leaders have been confirmed as speakers in the Plenary and Current Debates programme. 
 
The confirmed top industry experts include Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs of Qatar and President & CEO of QatarEnergy, Hamed Al Naamany, CEO of Oman LNG, Charlotte Morton, Chief Executive at World Biogas Association (WBA), Dr Ben K. D. Asante, CEO of Ghana National Gas Company and Stéphane Michel, President of Gas, Renewables and Power at TotalEnergies.-TradeArabia News Service
