Wood launches new brownfield solutions group

HOUSTON, November 1, 2018

Wood, a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets, has established a new brownfield modifications group in its Asset Solutions Americas business.

It has appointed Gilberto Ordonez as senior vice president of brownfield solutions.

With over 20 years in the energy industry, Ordonez has extensive experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project delivery, business development, project management and other oil and gas related areas.  A former Wood employee of 19 years, Gilberto has returned to the organisation to assume this new role. He previously worked for Wood in Houston, Latin America, Oman and Trinidad & Tobago.

The brownfield solutions business is a new team that will focus on delivering complete brownfield engineering, operations and maintenance solutions to further nurture existing projects.

“I am thrilled to welcome Gilberto back to team Wood,” said Kent McAllister, president of Capital Projects, Upstream/Midstream in Wood’s Asset Solutions Americas business.  “We wish to partner with our clients, so we can grow with them, their projects and their assets. This group is designed to help us achieve that and integrate service delivery excellence across the brownfield modifications market.”

Ordonez has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.  In 2009, he earned a Global Executive Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University. He will be based in Houston.

Wood operates in more than 60 countries, employing around 60,000 people, with revenues of over $10 billion.  - - TradeArabia News Service
