Etihad Energy Service Company (Etihad Esco) has partnered with Siemens to reduce the energy consumption of 115 mosques and two buildings through the execution of a retrofit project.

Siemens will be supporting Etihad Esco), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dewa and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) to provide Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); and water and lighting retrofit solutions; along with the installation of control systems to further reduce the energy consumption of HVAC and lighting, within the framework of the first phase of the program.

The project scope will also include measurement & verification for a six years contract period.

Upon completion, Siemens will guarantee a 20.43 percent reduction in annual energy consumption, resulting in yearly savings of over Dh3 million ($816,000).
