SEC goes digital with power bill distribution

RIYADH, February 2, 2018

The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) said it has already suspended the distribution of the paper bills to the subscribers' homes.

Any subscriber can know the value and details of the electricity consumption bill by checking SEC’s digital channels for few minutes through simple and easy means, SEC said.

It also indicated that all subscriber categories are covered via 5.7 million SMS, as well as recording more than 3.1 million visits to Alkahraba app on smartphones.

SEC delivered the e-bill for January to more than nine million subscribers throughout the Kingdom. The company has set the 28th of each month for issuing electronic bills to subscribers.  – TradeArabia News Service
