Adnoc opens 2 new service stations in Sharjah

ABU DHABI, November 2, 2016

Adnoc Distribution recently opened Al Taawan service station, located on Al Taawan Street in Al Nahda area, and Al Hamriya service station, located near Hamriya Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE.

The two refurbished facilities are the latest additions to the 25 rebranded service stations that joined the Adnoc Distribution network following the transfer of assets agreement signed with Enoc in 2015.

Al Taawan service station is equipped with three islands featuring six dispensers, and the upgrade work is currently underway on the construction of an automatic and manual car wash facilities and oil change services.

Furthermore, Al Hamriya service station is fitted-out with four islands and four dispensers including one for green diesel. The two service stations retail E-Plus 91, Special 95 and Super 98 fuels. Open round-the-clock, the two stations also feature an Adnoc Oasis convenience store for all retail requirements.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, acting chief executive officer of Adnoc Distribution, said: “The opening of Al Taawan and Al Hamriya service stations articulates our ambitious expansion plans to meet the dynamic needs of communities we serve through enhancing our operational capacities. In addition to bringing our world-class products and services closer to our customers, the expansion will also help us support the country’s sustainable development goals and meet its growing energy requirements."

“We will continue to look for opportunities to efficiently grow the Adnoc Distribution network of service stations across the country. This will allow us to consolidate our presence in the distribution of our quality petroleum products and allied services and reinforce our expertise in implementing best-in-class practices,” he added.

Adnoc Distribution has leveraged its unique expertise and capabilities to facilitate successful operation of its retail facilities and services within Al Taawan and Al Hamriya service stations. Refurbishment works included different aspects of branding and overhauling of the external and internal infrastructure to reflect the company’s corporate identity and ensure consistency of all products and services offered.

As part of the asset transfer agreement signed between Adnoc Distribution and ENOC, three more service stations are currently being refurbished under Adnoc Distribution brand in Sharjah including Al Diyar Service Station, Al Rawda Service Station and Wasit Service Station.

All stations that come under the agreement are also set to commence operations before the end of 2016. – TradeArabia News Service
