The 24th annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC 2016) to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from April 24 to 26, 2016 will be opened by Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the UAE’s Minister of Energy.

 

The event, hosted by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), is gathering steam with chief executives and oil and gas industry luminaries all joining to present key addresses on opportunities and pitfalls for the Middle East oil and gas focusing on the low oil price environment and its impact. 

 

Heads and CEOs of global oil and gas companies, senior government officials, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) officials, energy experts, top financiers, and leading organisations in the energy sector will gather in Abu Dhabi for the six-day event, with a total of six events to be held at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.  

 

In a company statement, Adnoc said Al Mazrouei will grace the official opening of MPGC 2016 at 9 am on April 25 with a welcome keynote speech.  Then, Dr Fereidun Fesharaki, chairman of FGE and co-chairman of the conference will deliver his much anticipated conference chairman’s Crystal Ball, offering insights into the fortunes of the oil and gas business in the near and medium term.  

 

MPGC Week 2016 includes executive briefings on key strategies for the upstream/downstream and LNG/Natural Gas sectors as well as specialised product conferences on base oils/lubes and jet fuels as technical courses on petroleum and refined products.  These are: Middle East Petroleum Insiders Briefing (MPI); 24th Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC 2016) ; Global Finished Lubricants Value Chain Workshop (GLV); Base Oil & Lubes Middle East Conference & Workshop (BLM 2016); Middle East Jet Fuels Conference (MEJET 2016); Middle East Gas Insiders Briefing (MGI);
