Total inks deal to develop shared oilfield in Iran

BAGHDAD, March 30, 2016

France-based Total has signed an agreement with Iran to develop the South Azadegan oil field, which the energy giant shares with Iran, a report said.

Total is now “studying its participation in the development of the oil field”, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh was quoted as saying in Iraq Business News.

The field holds an in-situ oil reserve of about 33.2 billion barrels, according to the report.
