ALGIERS, February 28, 2016

ABB, a global engineering group, has won a contract worth $100 million to renovate the liquefied petroleum gas treatment unit (LPG) gas field Rhourde Nouss in Algeria, a report said.

"ABB is proud to continue the close and lasting partnership with Sonatrach. This project allows us to support Sonatrach to provide a facility that meets the latest standards of safety, reliability and efficiency," Per Erik Holsten, a senior at ABB, was quoted as saying by El Watan, which cited ABB’s Italian subsidiary ABB Italia.

The contract awarded by the Sonatrach includes the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a system test, the report said.
