Forum to aid Saudi Aramco proactively engage suppliers

Saudi Aramco to host supply-chain forum

DHAHRAN, November 26, 2015

Saudi Aramco is set to host a one-day invitation-only forum for key suppliers on December 1 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The forum will introduce the company's In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) programme that underpins Saudi Aramco's accelerated transformation programme and growth objectives across the Saudi energy sector, said a statement.

It will be an opportunity for Saudi Aramco to proactively engage suppliers in discussion around the company’s goals and the important role supply chain partners can play in supporting the continued competitive growth of the Saudi energy sector and wider domestic economy, it said.

Abdulaziz AbdulKarim, vice president of Materials Supply at Saudi Aramco, said: “Our goal is to ensure that we continue to develop a diverse, capable and highly-skilled supply-chain that continues to meet our business objectives and drive economic growth across the kingdom.”

The IKTVA programme was developed by Saudi Aramco through consultation and collaboration with its national and international supply chain partners.

The forum will enable suppliers to understand the programme’s business practices and supplier performance criteria that represents best practice and standards globally. - TradeArabia News Service
