Qatar's Nakilat Q3 profit rises 7.6pc

Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat), one of the world's largest shippers of liquefied natural gas, posted a 7.6 per cent rise in third-quarter net profit on Thursday, according to Reuters calculations.

The company made a net profit of SR266.1 million ($73.1 million) in the three months to September 30, Reuters calculated using Nakilat's earlier financial statements in lieu of a quarterly earnings breakdown.

This was up from a profit of SR247.2 million ($65.9 million) a year earlier.

QNB Financial Services had forecast Nakilat would make a third-quarter profit of SR274.8 million ($73.2 million).

The company made a net profit of SR756.3 million ($201.6 million) in the first nine months of 2015, up from SR692 million ($184.5 million) in the corresponding period of last year, it said in a statement. - Reuters
