Dewa named 'Energy Company of the Year'

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has won the Energy Company of the Year award in the Gulf Business Industry Awards 2015, organised by Gulf Business magazine in collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI).
 
This award proves Dewa's credentials in the energy industry, and the major initiatives and projects carried out in Dubai.
 
Waleed Salman, executive vice president of Strategy and Business Development, Dewa, received the award on behalf of Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and chief executive officer of Dewa, during a gala dinner held at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, in presence of officials from various organisations working across difference sectors.
 
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, said: ”We take pride in Dewa being recognised for this win, which reflects our success in achieving international quality standards in the electricity and water services that we provide according to the highest reliability and efficiency standards to go beyond the expectations of our customers and partners, and enhance their comfort and happiness.”
 
The Gulf Business Industry Awards honours business leaders in various industries including aviation, transport, banking, health care, energy, technology, real estate, retail, media, marketing as well as tourism and hospitality.
 
Dewa won the award for energy, based on a poll conducted by the magazine to choose the best institutions. - TradeArabia News Service
