Mubadala MRO unit names interim CEO

ABU DHABI, July 4, 2015

SR Technics, a part of the Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, has named industry veteran Jeremy Remacha as the interim chief executive officer of the Swiss-based company.

He had served as the senior vice president for Mubadala Development Company for seven years.

With 30 years of aerospace industry experience, Remacha has held various leadership positions within Mubadala as both asset manager of SR Technics and portfolio manager for Mubadala’s other maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) companies.

During his time at Mubadala he also led various deal teams on asset transactions and has been involved in business development and start-up project activity,  said the company in a statement.

Previously, Remacha held a senior management positon with Air New Zealand as general manager of Safe Air Limited, New Zealand for five years.

During his time with Safe Air, he was responsible for managing all aspects of the company, developing strategy and securing major long term commercial and military MRO contracts.

From 1998 to 2003, Remacha worked for the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand as a manager for aircraft certification, he added.

During his tenure there, he oversaw the certification and flight test programmes of aircraft and design organisations, led safety assessments, certification rule development and consultation and negotiation of international bilateral agreements with major national airworthiness authorities.

Remacha began his career in the Royal New Zealand Air Force serving as an engineering officer for 13 years.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Canterbury University New Zealand, Master of Science (Aerospace Vehicle Design) from Cranfield University, UK and a certificate in global executive management from the Insead Business School, France.-TradeArabia News Service
