Iran’s South Pars field readies fourth platform

TEHRAN, January 28, 2015

The fourth platform (D) of South Pars Gas Field’s Phase 12 in Bushehr province is now ready for installation with completion of construction work, a report said.

Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) will take the final decision on other platforms that are in waiting, added the Iran Daily report, which cited Shana.

The 84-metre long platform weighing 4,200 tonnes was constructed in 16 months, the report said.

With the completion of Phase 12, about three billion cu ft of sour will be pumped into the national network, according to the report.

The South Pars oil and gas field, covering 9,700 sq km, is divided into 28 phases is estimated to hold 14 trillion cu m of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensates.
