KOC denies media report on technical snags

The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a subsidiary of state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, has denied some media accounts of its oil production lagging behind due to technical snags, a report said.

The company was meeting its production targets with no difficulties of any kind, Saad Al-Azmi deputy CEO for Administrative and Financial Affairs at KOC, was quoted as saying in the Kuwait Times report.

He added that the company was in line with its goal to bring the production level to at least 3.65 million barrels a day by 2020, according to the report.
