Bapco major buyer of Saudi crude

Bapco is one of the major buyers of Saudi crude, purchasing 225,000 barrels of crude oil daily from Saudi Aramco, said a senior official.

Saudi Aramco president Khalid Al Faleh said this during an address at the Ninth Middle East International Refining and Petrochemicals Conference and Exhibition (Petrotech 2014) that concluded yesterday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Dr Mohamed Al Jasser, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation chief executive Mohamed Al Mady and Mr Al Faleh.

Dr Al Jasser gave a speech on investment opportunities in oil sectors.

He also reviewed employment and Saudi expenditure priorities in development and investment projects.

The opening sessions included several presentations by a number of major speakers.

The conference featured keynote and plenary sessions which assembled high profile executives and technical experts from refining and marketing organisations worldwide, as well as representatives from associated industries.

They addressed current issues of widespread importance to the refining industry.-TradeArabia News Service
