Lux Assure boosts Mideast presence

Dubai, April 14, 2014

Oil and gas asset integrity and corrosion management firm Lux Assure has grown its presence in the Middle East with the appointment of two regional agents as well as a new business development manager.

The chemical monitoring specialist has partnered with Middle East Oilfield Services (MEOFS), a Kuwait-based technology services company that will act as a sales agent both promoting and assisting with deployments in Kuwait.

MEOFS works in Kuwait as a technology service provider to the upstream and downstream sectors.

Expanding its geographical reach, Lux Assure has also teamed up with Consolidated Suppliers. Based in Abu Dhabi, the company is one of the main service providers to the oil and gas industry in the UAE working with, and constantly searching for, cutting edge technology and innovations.

The company will assist Lux Assure in its ambitious Middle East market penetration.

On its expansion strategy, Lux Assure CEO Charles Cruickshank said: "The Middle East is a core market for us, and we are happy to see our presence there growing, as it ensures we can give the best possible service to our regional clients."

"We have history of work in the area and are delighted to be increasing our on-the-ground presence to deliver quick and efficient services to our local customers as we continue to expand," he noted.

Lux Assure has recently hired Mahmoud El-Hawary as business development consultant for the Middle East, who will be working closely with the new partner agencies. He will be responsible for developing business activity throughout the region, and ensuring customers’ requirements are met to the highest standards.

Boasting more than 12 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, El-Hawary’s career has focused on upstream, midstream and downstream industries. He has vast experience in field services, consultancy and engineering and has successfully delivered multimillion projects across the Eastern Hemisphere.

El-Hawary said: “I am thrilled to be working with Lux Assure and look forward to furthering the company’s client base in the Middle East. Lux Assure has pioneered innovative technology that can benefit both on and offshore companies within the region greatly. The company’s expertise, combined with the partnerships recently formed with MEOFS and Consolidated Suppliers, puts us in good standing to grow in the region.”

Lux Assure is a key exhibitor at the ongoing Annual Asset Integrity Management Summit in Oman.

In mid-2013, Lux Assure secured its first contract in the Middle East with Kuwait Oil Company’s Research and Technology division to provide corrosion inhibition support to a sea water pipeline in North Kuwait.

Lux Assure has bases in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The company specialises in asset integrity, developing novel chemical monitoring technologies for the oil and gas industry, both on and offshore.-TradeArabia News Service
