Turkey's power capacity up by 4,100MW

Turkey has added 4,100 megawatts (MW) of new power generation capacity in the first eight months of this year, with a total investment of $6 billion, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said in a statement on Thursday.

The new investments bring Turkey's total power generation capacity to 61,151 MW as of August, a rise of around 10 percent compared to same period last year, Yildiz said. – Reuters
