Petrofac, a leading oil and gas facilities service provider, has announced that David Evans has joined Petrofac Training Services as the global head of emergency response and crisis management (ERCM).

Evans will be responsible for growing the business in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, Americas and Asia Pacific regions, in terms of new service lines and new customers.

Previously, Evans was the managing director of Link Associates International. He joined the firm, part of the US Seacor Group, in 1991 and has been the MD since 2001.

“We are delighted to welcome David to the business. His proven experience and knowledge will no doubt help to deliver our ambitious strategy and ensure the highest standard of safety and crisis management for our customers,” said Paul Groves, managing director, Petrofac Training Services.

The appointment comes in response to increased demand for services across the spectrum of operational and enterprise risks.

“The company’s vision of providing high quality consultancy, training and support to customers across the globe is a commitment to meeting the industry’s needs for the highest standards in crisis and emergency management,” Evans said.

“I look forward to driving this vision further, helping customers avoid and respond to crises,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
