Bapco summer camp ends

More than 250 children and parents attended the final ceremony which marked the end of the Bapco summer camp. The ceremony was also attended by camp activity instructors and Bapco employees.
A total of 328 children participated in swimming, bowling, taekwondo, drawing/handicrafts activities and a youth leadership programme (YLP) at the summer camp, held throughout July and August. Many children participated in more than one activity.
Bapco general manager - HR and Administration Mohamed Al-Jamea welcomed guests to the ceremony, praising the high number of participants in the camp. He thanked the General Organisation for Youth and Sports (GOYS) and Manama and Bapco Toastmasters Clubs for providing instructors, as well as Bapco Club and Public Relations staff for ensuring the event’s success.
The YLP was launched during the Bapco Summer Camp 2007 to encourage children to develop their leadership skills.
All children received Lulu Hypermarket gift vouchers, while instructors received certificates of appreciation.-TradeArabia News Service
