Saudi Arabia launches international motor festival

The Saudi Convention & Exhibition General Authority (SCEGA) has launched today the Saudi International Motor Festival (Autoville) as the largest interactive event of its kind in the world of motors in the Middle East region.

The event runs from January 8 to 14 at Dirab Square Circuit in Riyadh, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Car enthusiasts and fans will have fun and excitement through seven main zones: Adventure Live, Advanced Car Show “OEM”, Rare Car Forum, Buggy Storm, “Earl Music” and Arobots, in addition to the Automobile Club Show.

Autoville festival will cover an area of 1.7 million sq m, displaying cars from all over the world through car shows, driving trial tests and distinctive speed tests suitable for all age groups, in addition to exploring the latest developments in mobility.

Also, the Saudi International Autoville Festival will witness a number of concerts by a group of Arab and international artists.

The acting CEO of SCEGA Amjad bin Essam Shaker said that the Autoville festival sets unprecedented horizons for the exhibitions, convention, conferences and entertainment sectors in Saudi Arabia.

The festival supports the tourism and exhibition sectors, through public displays of cars and motorcycles, and awareness and promotional shows that will attract experts and vehicle enthusiasts.

More than 100 globally prestigious brands in the engine industry are expected to participate in the festival.

Car enthusiasts can take part in special events at Autoville festival, notably the School of Drift with Chelsea DeNofa; RTR Professional Driving Course; Tokyo Drift - Driving Experience and Suzuki Swift - On Track Driving Experience, which provide the opportunity for the public to accompany celebrity racing drivers to live real action and excitement scenes.

A number of famous Motorcycle Rallies, Events & Shows will participate in Autoville festival, including the Saudi professional race driver Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani, the two-time Guinness World Record breaker in drifting races as well as racing drivers' celebrities: Ken Block; Vaughn Gittin Jr.; Remy Brouard and many others.

The management of Autoville has officially started selling tickets for the events of this International Festival through the Festival website autoville.me, the report said.
