A talented young Bahraini with a passion for working on car engines was given an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Toyota Plaza and the Ebrahim K. Kanoo Training Centre, to encourage his education and specialisation in the automotive field.

 

Hasan Al Mahari, aged 13, was recently identified by local media and his story of self-taught auto-mechanics caught the attention of Ebrahim K. Kanoo management who were impressed with the boy’s enthusiasm and talent.

 

Ebrahim K. Kanoo Senior General Manager of Service, Michael Goode, praised Hasan’s aptitude stating: “Hasan is a truly gifted young man. The knowledge that he taught himself and the passion he feels towards cars is remarkable. Ebrahim K. Kanoo is committed to nurturing Bahraini talent and we invest a considerable amount of time and resources in educating and training young Bahraini men and women who show interest and wish to pursue this career. We wish Hasan much success in his education and will keep a keen eye on his progress.”

 

Along with his father, Hasan was taken on a guided tour of Toyota Plaza in Tubli, the region’s largest service centre dedicated to Toyota and Lexus vehicles, spanning an impressive one million square feet. He met with the management team as well as other aspiring Bahraini youths who are part of the company’s many educational outreach programs, who shared their stories and encouraged Hasan.

 

The group also visited the state-of-the-art Ebrahim K. Kanoo Training Centre, where he observed the latest technology used to teach and train technicians. The training centre is also the officially designated regional facility for global brands such as Volvo, McLaren, Subaru as well as Toyota and Lexus. - TradeArabia News Service
