Volvo displays top models at Sustainable City Horse Show

DUBAI, February 13, 2020

Trading Enterprises, an Al-Futtaim Automotive Group company and the official dealer of Volvo Cars in the UAE, is displaying two of its most popular models, XC90 and XC60 models, at the Sustainable City Horse Show, being held in Dubai, UAE.

The ongoing four-day event will run until February 15, the fun-filled family event will feature over 200 international show jumping riders and their horses, including Olympic Champions, World Equestrian Champions and Asian Games Champions, from all over the world in an eight different class competition.

In addition to the show jumping, there will be other family friendly activities such as K9 Dog show, horse auction and Origin Organic food market.

Oscar Rivoli, managing director at Trading Enterprises, said: “We are always looking for ways to get closer to our customers. This event is the perfect way for us to engage directly with both existing and potential customers by showcasing two of our flagship vehicles.”

“We encourage everyone to come and join us with their families to see our new generation of Volvo cars and all the exciting things we’ll have on offer for a great day out,” he added.

First on display from Volvo is the XC90 MY20, Volvo’s top-of-the-line flagship seven-seat SUV which combines the latest and greatest of technology, usability and material design to deliver a superior product experience. Highlights include the interface and interior design quality, connectivity features, driver assistance and communication systems.

The refreshed XC90 for the first time offers customers Volvo’s advanced kinetic energy recovery braking system, which is coupled with its existing internal combustion engines to create a new integrated electrified powertrain, under its new ‘B’ badge. This new electrified powertrain offers drivers up to 15 per cent fuel savings and emission reductions in real world driving.

On the outside, the refreshed XC90 offers subtle upgrades to the original award-winning exterior design, such as new wheels, exterior colours and a modern new grill, among other details. On the inside, the superlative and award-winning interior design remains in place, but perhaps the most noticeable addition is the fact that it can be ordered with a range of different seating configurations. In terms of active safety technology, the XC90 offers drivers help with steering on both the City Safety and the Blind Spot Information System

The second car on display will be the XC60 MY20, Volvo’s five-door, five-seat mid-size SUV which delivers the latest technology, as well as exceptional design and materials. It is built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), Volvo’s advanced modular product platform that underpins all Volvo cars in the 90 and 60 Series. Key features include the user interface and interior design quality, connectivity features, low driver assistance and safety technology.

The XC60 carries the proud and confident face of Volvo’s design language, along with classic Volvo styling cues. Key features include the iconic “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlight design, the Volvo Iron Mark, and the expressive use of the Volvo word mark on the rear.

Volvo’s connectivity and infotainment system, Sensus, the XC60 is very connected, delivering an intuitive touch screen interface that combines car functions, navigation, connected services and in-car entertainment applications such as Spotify, Pandora, Baidu or TuneIn. The portrait-oriented touch screen enables easy and fast access to a host of functions and features. Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also available.

Volvo’s leadership in the field of automotive safety is confirmed in the XC60. The SPA platform has resulted in the strongest Volvo cars to date because of extensive use of boron steel, as well as numerous safety systems designed to protect people inside and outside the car.
Volvo’s City Safety technology, standard on all Volvo models, combines automatic braking functionality and collision avoidance systems to cover a range of potential accident scenarios and help keep you safe.

Volvo currently has a variety of offers across its range, including one year free registration, two years’ service contract, three years unlimited kilometre warranty and a trade-in bonus available on selected models, it stated.  – TradeArabia News Service
