University of Bahrain secured first place in the highly competitive Young Creatives Initiative competition organized recently by Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

The competition, which was held at the Bahrain International Circuit, comprised of six teams from three top Bahraini universities who competed for the title and a unique internship opportunity with Euro Motors.

All teams displayed their distinctive, Jaguar Land Rover inspired concept designs to a panel of judges that included Abbas Almosawi, Nada Alawi and Aysha Almoayyed.

Stephen Lay, general manager of Euro Motors Land Rover, commented; “The aim of this initiative was to encourage young talents to apply their creative mindset to innovate and create solutions that add value to our industry and future. With what we have seen on display, it is evident that the young adults of Bahrain are on the right path and rapidly moving forward.”

“We would like to congratulate the winning team from University of Bahrain for submitting their futuristic take on a Land Rover SUV, which was a truly incredible design. We would also like to congratulate all other participants for putting in commendable effort to produce exceptional automobile concepts.”

“We are deeply grateful to the panel of judges for their support in fairly handling the competition. We certainly look forward to continue collaborating with higher education institutions in the Kingdom to conduct many more programmes such as this in the near future,” he added.

All participants of the programme were provided with certificates of participation along with a personalized letter of appreciation from the General Manager of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover. Each member of the winning team were also rewarded the opportunity to partake in a 2-week long industry traineeship at Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover.

During the two weeks, the students would be placed in various departments within the organization in order to gain valuable understanding on the full functionality of the business environment.
