Nahwasharq named Volvo dealer in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, April 15, 2018

Volvo Cars, a leading automobile manufacturer, has appointed Nahwasharq Company as its official authorised importer in Saudi Arabia.

Established in 2007, Nahwasharq specialises in dealership operations for the premium, sport- luxury and ultra-luxury segments and is also the official dealer for Swedish hypercar marque Koenigsegg Automotive AB.

Following Volvo Car Group’s series of wins at international and local car awards, the brand’s venture into the Saudi Arabian domestic market has been highly anticipated by the country’s automotive enthusiasts, said a company statement.

Jesus Fernandez de Mesa, Volvo Car Group’s managing director, importers - Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: “The group is in the midst of introducing an entirely new model range, embedding its new engine technologies, establishing joint ventures and partnerships to position itself as the leader in car safety and autonomous drive technologies.”

“I believe customers in Saudi Arabia will be proud to own a car that leads the industry, rather than follows it,” stated de Mesa.

“We now have a complete dealer network for the Middle East, with which we expect to significantly grow our market share in the region. Nahwasharq has a great deal of experience that can help us do that,” he added.

Nahwasharq CEO Elie Chahine said: “We are delighted to be a part of this partnership. Our efforts were met with enthusiasm by investors, and are an indicator of a healthy demand for Volvo’s products.”

“We look forward to what is surely going to turn into a long-standing, successful relationship with Volvo Car Group,” Chahine said.– TradeArabia News Service
